In the Good Old Summertime...

School's out and you're looking for things to keep your children happily occupied...look no further!  Between Art Camp, the Clear Creek Music Festival Kids Camp, and the library's Summer Reading Program, they won't have a chance to be bored.  Take a look at the activity descriptions and schedules, choose what suits your children's interests and ages, then head to the Hells Canyon Journal office or the Halfway branch library for registration forms. It just could be their best summer yet!

Summer Reading Program

"Universe of Stories"

June 20 - August 13

The summer reading program is free, and all ages are welcome. This year's theme is Outer Space! Please pre-register to ensure enough supplies for each child attending. Activities will be held at  the Richland Branch Library Tuesdays at 10:30am from July 2 through August 13.

The Halfway Branch Library is conducting an independent reading program for the summer. Students register and keep track of their reading to earn points that may be redeemed at the end of the summer for prizes.

There will be extra special programs this summer in Richland; on  July 26 at 3pm, don't miss "Our Place in Space" which will include hands-on activities and projects provided by the Museum of Natural and Cultural History.

For more information, contact the library at 541-742-5279 (Halfway) or 541-893-6088 (Richland).
